This is quite nice for a first try. Good thing you're starting out with Inkscape, rather than making an amateur's mistake and using Photoshop. Your lines are nicely even for the most part, although it seems you tried using way too many of them. Things like mane or tail are made of one line, and in appears that you tried to make them from multiple ones, and then connect the tapering ends, which resulted in blocky and uneven corners, or pieces of the line just sticking out at random places.
The green in the back of her mane doesn't connect properly to her ear either, you can see the coat's blue there - after you finish a vector, take a few minutes to study edges to make sure your fills aren't bleeding or get cut short, it's a good idea to make a temporary background of some high contrast colour, like bright pink, to spot most of those things easier. Her eye is also missing the gradient.
All in all, good job on getting started. Work on lowering the amount of lines you're using, and make sure to taper them correctly - the back of her flank is just a plain square, for example.
